New pattern drop: Two spaces, and why

Hey Reader

I wanted to share something new I’ve been working on, and also explain it properly so it makes sense.

I’ve created a second space for my work, called Samantha J Hill Studio, on Patreon.

If you’re already part of the We Love Wool Club, nothing is changing there. That space is staying exactly as it is.

But I’ve realised that what I’m working on creatively has started to shift a bit, and I needed a place to share that properly without changing what We Love Wool Club is.

We Love Wool Club is really about the community, knitting and crochet more broadly, and having a space to chat, share, and learn together. It’s a wider, more general space around wool and making.

The new Patreon is different.

It’s more focused on my own creative work. The paintings, the patterns, and the process behind how those two connect.

A lot of what I’m making now starts with a painting or a colour idea, and then slowly turns into stitch and pattern. I wanted a space where I could share more of that, not just finished pieces, but the ideas, the development, and the in-between stages.

Inside Patreon, you’ll get:
• studio notes and behind-the-scenes posts
• exclusive patterns or creative resources
• early access to new work

So in simple terms:

We Love Wool Club
– community
– general knitting and crochet
– conversation and shared making
– Monthly pattern if you're in the paid part

Samantha J Hill Studio (Patreon)
– my paintings and pattern work
– behind-the-scenes process
– studio notes and exclusive patterns

You don’t need to be in both. If you’re happy where you are, nothing changes at all.

But if you’re interested in seeing more of my creative work and how it develops, you’re very welcome to join me there too.
