Bring your needles, we're making something together

Hey Reader

You know the evenings when you've had a day, and you sit down, and you genuinely cannot face anything that requires a decision.

That's what I'm teaching about.

I'm speaking at the Art of Handmade summit, which runs 15 to 17 September. It's online, and it's free to watch. My session is on Thursday 17th. It's called Knit Your Way to Calm, and it's a work-along, so have any yarn and any needles you can find sitting nearby. Chunky is easiest. It honestly does not matter what they are.

We make a garter stitch square together. No pattern, no counting, no gauge, no right size. It is deliberately the least impressive thing I have ever taught, and it is the thing that gets me through the evenings I can't settle.

There are thirty other makers on the bill too, across paper, mixed media, fibre, clay and decor, so there's a good deal more than knitting in there if you fancy a wander.

There's a free copy of my Rainbow Road Shawl pattern in there for you to keep.

Registering takes under a minute, and you watch on your own schedule rather than at a set time.

Come and join me; it's free

I'm an affiliate for this summit, so if you buy the paid all-access pass, I earn a commission. The summit itself is free to watch, and you don't need to buy anything.

Looking forward to seeing you there

P.S. If you've got a bag of unfinished projects quietly judging you from the corner of a room, I cover those too. They're not judging you. They're just wool.
